Official Mass Transit announcement at Mayne Stage (Update)

(Rogers Park) - A big announcement must be in the works. On April 27, the Mayne Stage at 1328 West Morse, had numerous television trucks and Chicago Police vehicles surrounding the building. Channel 7 had their transmission boom all the way up.

In back, police officers were guarding the alley and backstage door.

Sean McCown, Chief Operation Officer for the Mayne Stage, wouldn't comment on the activities around the building, other than saying it was "top secret."


Update: The Senator Dick Durbin, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Governor Pat Quinn are speaking at 10:00 a.m., to talk about the future of our mass transit system.


Update: No sign of any demonstrators or protesters such as Occupy Rogers Park, as of yet.
