It was three shots, but at the fire hydrant at 1710 Albion, not by Albion Playlot.
The victim was uninjured & talking to the cops.
He had several companions, but they weren't asked much by the cops.
There weren't any shell casings.
Ceasefire showed up a while later.

Police know the alleged shooter as one of the Farwell Gang. Seems those boys are taking on both the Howard and Albion gang.

This just proves that the article today in the Trib on errors & omissions in police traffic reports extends to regular police crime reports.
I was there on Albion on Friday, I heard the shots & was outside within 90 seconds. No one was there, they all fled. When the victim came back to talk to the cops, all of their searching for spent shell casings [there weren't any] was at the fireplug in front of 1710. I heard the car speed away & it had been in the empty fire plug space.
My guess is that the first call gave 1716 as the address or that's the address of the caller & it got transferred to the report.
They did do their interviewing of the victim in the street in front of 1716 as that's where all the cop cars stopped.

Nice block, but its a bit isolated. I guess this is an area that needs to step it up a bit.
