Gerber/Hart receives permit to build in Rogers Park

Gerber/Hart has the permits to build.

(Rogers Park) - The long-awaited permit to build the new gay Library at 6500 North Clark is now posted. On May 10, 2012, the City of Chicago granted Clark Properties, located at 1812 West Webster Avenue, a permit to start work.

The permit number is #100430019.

It had been previously reported by Kate Sosin, on May 10, the day this permit was issued, Gerber/Hart was "denied" seven permits to build by the City of Chicago, according to a Ms. Sosin, who went to the City of Chicago's website for her information.

Listed construction work includes: a core buildout, HVAC, electrical and plumbing work on the existing building shell. The contractor is JLJ Development in Lincolnwood.

Even with the proper permit in place, no construction work was taking place May 15, 2012.
