Did you know something about James Brown?

(Rogers Park) - In late June of 2009, a person named James Brown, 19, of the 1700 block of West Wallen, was featured on the 'The 'Broken Heart of Rogers Park.'
Did you know this one James Brown was accused of shooting somebody?
Pardon me. Not just "somebody.
He shot an innocent 9 year old kid. Yeah, that's right. A 9 year old childWalking with his parents, innocently down the street.
HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED in July of 2009
"A man has been arrested in the shooting of a 9-year-old boy who was walking with his family Friday night in the Rogers Park neighborhood when the attack occurred. At 6:45 p.m. Monday, the 19-year-old man was arrested without incident or struggle in the 1500 block of West North Shore Avenue, according to Rogers Park District police Capt. Thomas Libert..."
For this heinous crime James Brown was sentenced to 5 years in the pokey in 2011.
Looks like he served less - and was released to the general public.
If you subscribed to the archives of the 'Broken Heart', you would've known that.

Well looks like we jumped to the right conclusions this time. Not good to judge before the full story comes out. But this just turns my stomach. This hoodlum just couldnt stay away from Rogers Park no matter what. He killed someone here and then he got killed here. Geez.

I misread, I guess he didnt kill the 9 years old, but he had shot him, thats still pretty bad. THat still should require much more jail time then he got.
