CeaseFire holds candlelight vigil for person who shot a kid

(Rogers Park) - On April 10, at 6 p.m., CeaseFire Rogers Park, in conjunction with the Organization of the North East (O. N. E. ) is holding a candlelight vigil for James Brown.

If you remember, Brown is a convicted child shooter, who, himself - got gunned down, just blocks away from where, he, himself - pulled a trigger and shot a 9 year-old boy; in June of 2009.

James Brown was sentenced in the Cook County Courts to 5 years, for shooting the child. But James Brown was released and free to go for the child shooting in October 2011.

Kind of weak sentencing if you ask me. It's almost so unbelievable, you'd think this was some sort of soap opera or murder mystery novel I was telling you about.

But seriously, this is real life stuff.

Last week was a busy week for James Brown:
According to the Chicago Tribune:
On Tuesday, April 3, 2012, about 7:20 p.m., Brown had been arrested in the 6600 block of North Ashland Avenue on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge, according to police.
On Wednesday, April 4, 2012, Brown pleaded guilty in the case, and was released after being ordered to pay a $250 fine, according to court records. (Didn't anyone check to see if he was on parole?)
On Thursday, April 5, 2012, James Brown was gunned down in broad daylight in a drive-by shooting in the 6800 block of North Ashland Avenue.
BLOGNOTES: Personally, I'm not sure how many people are going to show up at Morse and Ashland at 6:00 p.m., tonight. After all, it's not often a candlelight vigil is held for someone who shoots a 9 year-old - innocent boy.

If you've got any questions about this questionable candlelight vigil, call Chris Patterson at 773-885-7711.

Pretty bogus stuff here. This is actually one of the bad guys getting just desserts. If you shoot at people, well someone might shoot at you, and eventually they wont miss. He didnt even live in Rogers Park. But yet like a moth to the flame he couldnt stay away until it was too late. Ridiculous.
